Above the Fog

When I woke up on this cool fall morning, the fog was so thick I couldn't see anything in front of me. I quickly calculated where I thought my best option was for sunrise, and I figured trying to hike up above the fog was my best option. I had been wanting to head back up to the summit again of Gorham mountain, so that is where I headed. When I got up to the summit, it was still before sunrise but I could tell I had made the right decision. I found my composition and waited for the light. As soon as the light crested above the fog and started hitting the landscape, the moment had arrived. Acadia National Park, Maine
