Angular Focus

This trail, the Many Pools Trail, really made an impression on me the last time I was in Zion National Park. I was looking for a trail that wasn't as crowded as some of the popular ones. Given this trail is on the East side of Zion and is unmarked, it provided me the hiking solitude I was craving. Luckily I hiked it in the spring when there was still water in the numerous pools along the trail. The water offered the perfect foreground feature to focus on and all the angles and striations in the rock point inward towards the water and peak in the background. Zion National Park, Utah
