Off Season

Rhode Island is certainly known for its beaches, but in the summer they are simply over run with people. The best time to visit the beaches in the area when the goal is photography, is right after the beach season ends. There are no crowds, the life guard stands are still out, and the weather is perfect. One evening I went to East Matunuck State Beach hoping for a nice sunset. Despite not looking promising, my patience paid off in the end as I was able to capture this scene. A perfect RI beach scene. South Kingstown, Rhode Island
