One of my favorite things to do on my long road trips is simply wander alone. To just pick a place and go exploring. I found this scene exactly this way. While in Teddy Roosevelt National Park, I was looking for something to do while waiting for sunset. I turned down a random road in the park not knowing what I was going to find. What I found was a grouping of old buildings and a parking lot. When I got out I was initially disappointed, until I noticed a small trail leading off to the left. I grabbed my camera and went for a walk to see where it went. What I found was this fantastically beautiful scene. Who knew fall in North Dakota could look so good! Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Dakota Artist's Note: This image would look particularly good printed on canvas!
