The Wave

Getting a permit to hike out to The Wave in Arizona is one of the harder permits to come by in the national parks system. On my first try, I was able to snag a permit! I hiked out in the complete dark in order to be out there as the sun rose. This image is taken right as the sun came over the horizon, producing these wonderful colors that are not present when the light is shinning directly on the landscape.
