Vemödalen

Delicate Arch, one of the most photographed subjects in all eternity. There is usually an endless line of people all day every day in this spot, just waiting to get a picture of themselves in front of this arch. Millions have come before them to do the same thing, yet here they are ready to add to the endless photos. I struggled to even get up the gumption to do this hike, knowing there would likely be tons of people there. Having little desire to take the same old photo as every photographer before me, I decided to go and at least do the hike, even if a good image did not come from it. At least I could say I make the trek there. My goal once at the arch, was to try and find something different then those that came before me. While not coming away with a truly unique image, I think I managed to find at least a less photographed angle of the arch. Add in the wonderful sunset lighting and a perfect cloud placed right behind the arch and I came away photographically satisfied from this hike. Arches National Park – Utah
