Colorful Chaos

These oil abstracts are really difficult to distill down in the field. They really need some sort of anchor for the composition. Most of the times it is just color/texture chaos. I wanted to lean into that chaos with this image. It has a slight anchor in the loose X going through the middle, but the real power of this image comes from the colorful chaos happening in the frame. Beavertail State Park - Jamestown, RI
