Forethought

I had been wanting to capture this composition for quite awhile. There was always something off about the scene when I was there however. Either the tide was wrong, the clouds were too much, or too little. It just never seemed to come together as I saw in my mind. Time and again I came back to this little cove when visiting Beavertail. Finally on this night everything seemed to align! I got in the precarious position on this rock and waited the the perfect moment. Sometimes all it takes is some patience.
