A Big Fall

Big Falls state park in Vermont is tucked up way out of the way. It sits almost on the Canadian border. The park is fairly small, but seeing how out of the way it is I was the only one there. On the day I visited, the lighting was very difficult, a bright sky and almost no clouds caused the light to be very harsh. On my first attempt I just couldn't find any good photos, bad lighting, wind, and difficult view points made me give up. I went back to my truck to read for awhile and give the environment some time to change. An hour later or so and a few clouds showed up. With a bit lower of a sun angle and less wind, I was able to make this image which I ended up liking quite a bit, and it made the long drive out to the park worth it in the end.
