Ravens Nest

Acadia National Park is most known for the section located on Mount Desert Island. There are two other pieces of the park located elsewhere however. Isle au Haut, a small island located southwest of Mt. Desert Island and the Schoodic Penninsula which is located about an hour away from the main part of the park. The Schoodic Penninsula is a much quieter area then the main park. It offers way more solitude, great bike riding along the coast, quiet camping, and some nice wooded trails. My favorite spot in that part of the park is this place, called Ravens Nest. It offers some tall steep cliffs from which to watch a beautiful sunset from. The mountain off in the distance is Cadillac Mountain, the tallest peak in the park. Acadia National Park – Acadia
